Decjuba is one of Australia’s fastest-growing fashion retailers, known for modern, everyday apparel. With hundreds of stores across ANZ, they faced growing challenges around faulty returns, store-level textile waste, and rising environmental expectations from their loyal customer base. Their sustainability goal was clear: reduce landfill impact and implement a responsible end-of-life solution for textile waste.
DECJUBA is committed to their sustainability targets and continues to grow its responsible and circular product offering through transparency, recyclability, and the circularity of denim.
Like many fashion retailers, Decjuba was navigating pressures on both operational and environmental fronts:
Over the past couple of years, DECJUBA has partnered with UPPAREL to provide online denim recycling satchels, as well as access to denim drop-off points at all their retail stores across Australia and New Zealand! We implemented scheduled textile collections and introduced secure destruction for Decjuba’s products as well as other denim garments — ensuring brand integrity while responsibly processing dropped off denim garments and unusable stock.
To support their ESG goals, our team provided clear, consistent reporting across all collections, offering Decjuba visibility of their waste reduction metrics and environmental processing.
Within the first year, Decjuba successfully diverted more than 2 tonnes of textiles from landfill, saving an estimated 6.5+ tonnes of CO₂ emissions. The program streamlined their returns and waste-handling processes, reduced disposal costs, and strengthened their commitment to circularity—reinforcing their position as a leader in responsible retail.
